I am fortunate to have on the Executive Committee true men of God who are committed to serve the Lord by investing their time, money, effort, knowledge and skill to train and equip our children in God's word.
The Sunday School Executive Committee
Andries Scheepers --- National Director Southern Cape District
Frank Smith --- Vice Chairperson and Treasurer Boland District
Noël Bredenkamp --- National Secretary Garden Route District
We are currently busy with a National Camp for 600 children which are due to take place in De Hoek in September 2011. For 2012 (God willing) we plan have a Teacher's Conference to further equip our teachers with effective ways to carry the message of God to our children.
OUR VISION IS TO TRAIN OUR CHILDREN IN GOD`S WORD.
Proverbs 22:6 " Train up a child in the way he should go , And when he is old he will not depart from it."
By training our children in God`s word we investing in a child whatever wisdom, love, nurture, and discipline is needed for him/her to become fully committed to God.
In the way he should go is to do with the training according to the unique personality, gifts, and aspirations of the child. It also mean to train the child to avoid whatever natural tendencies he/she might have that would prevent total commitment to God.
Our fathers must not provoke our children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6 : 4
It's important to teach our children the Holy Scriptures since their childhood.
2 Timothy 3:15
For some children the plan of salvation may be difficult to understand completely. It is important to remember that our teaching does lay a foundation for salvation. Even before children accept Christ as their Saviour, they can learn about Him, love Him, and learn to do things that please Him.
We do not convict children of sin; the Holy Spirit does, and He guides them into all truth ( John 16:7,8,13). He will help us guide children along God`s path, not pushing them faster than their little spiritual legs can go.
LET US TAKE HANDS AND LEAD OUR CHILDREN WITH PASSION AND COMMITMENT.

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I like to take this opportunity to thank the church for electing me into the position of National Director of the Children's Church. It is a great honour to serve the church on such a high level. I believe with the support of the church and the grace of God we will take the Sunday School Department from glory to glory.
Background:
I basically grew up in the PPC and am currently an elder on the church board of the Kraaifontein congregation under the leadership of Pastor G Otto. My involvement in the Sunday School goes way back to 1994 where I started as a Sunday School Teacher. From there I served in different positions in the Local church, District and on National level.
Highlights:
As National Treasurer for the Sunday School I had the privilege to work with Pastor Craven Engel for 7 years. We launched a National Sunday School Curriculum, two National Quizzes at Boontjies River, a Teacher's Congress in George and a National Camp at the University of Stellenbosch.
